What glazing options do you offer for your conservatories?
One of the main reasons why homeowners rarely use their conservatories is that they’re not insulated properly. Either they’re too hot during the summer or unbearably cold in the winter months. Included with our conservatories is performance glass that is specified to the orientation of your home, ensuring that your space is thermally comfortable all year round.
Our conservatories also come in a choice of colour options too, including neutral, aqua, blue and bronze.
Can you tell me how your performance glass works?
As mentioned, one reason as to why conservatories don’t get used as often is due to the poor insulation, however we ensure that the glass used is high performance, built to offer exceptional thermal comfort all year round and is installed as per the orientation of your property.
Homes facing north or east are usually more shady and cool, therefore receive little direct sunlight, resulting in a colder room. To combat this, we use a glass that offers high light transmission and low solar rejection to ensure that your conservatory allows for more heat and light to enter the room.
South or west facing properties benefit from plenty of bright, natural sunlight, which at times means that the room can get unbelievably hot. We recommend glass that has a low level of light transmission and high levels of solar rejection to keep the room nice and cool- even during the hot, summer months.
